eSAX podcast featuring Pierrette Raymond of 1-800-GOT-JUNK and Women Living Fully with Jarrod Goldsmith

in Gallery, Networking Tips, Podcast, Small Business

Jarrod and Pierrette speak about the importance of having a coach, and a successful mindset when attending networking events. Pierrette Raymond is the CEO and Founder of Women Living Fully and the #1M10MProject. Pierrette is also one of the founding franchise partners of 1-800-GOT-JUNK.

ABOUT Pierrette Raymond:

Pierrette is a multi-business owner, coach and mentor to business owners and executive and founder of Women Living Fully. She is a four-time published author, speaker, facilitator, community leader and member of the Forbes Coaches Council.

In each of her businesses, her clients are looking to simplify their lives and their businesses. They are looking to maximize their time, their money and their energy for greater profit, more life/work balance, and greater impact.

1-800-GOT-JUNK?: Pierrette is a founding franchise partner of 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Ottawa and has grown her team and business operations since 2000. She celebrated her 20th year in business on May 31, 2019. Her focus is on helping you recycle and donate items that are no longer of use to you and bring to the waste site what is no longer usable.

Moving Forward Matters: Since March 2010, her team has provided home transition services that have helped thousands of families and individuals go through the daunting and overwhelming task of getting their home ready for sale, packing and letting go of items no longer needed, and moving into their next home.

Coaching & Consulting: In her private practice, she helps business owners and executives who are looking to expand their business into multiple six and seven figures, while growing top performing teams and engaging cultures.

Perrette is a recipient of the Forty Under 40, and the recipient of the Ontario Leading Women Building Communities award in 2013, given by the Government of Ontario to women in our province “who demonstrate exceptional leadership in working to improve the lives of others in their communities”.

ABOUT 1–800-GOT-JUNK:

In 1989, college student Brian Scudamore encountered a tight summer job market in his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. So, after seeing an old, junk-hauling truck rumbling along a McDonald’s drive-thru, he was inspired to start his own business. He named his junk removal service “The Rubbish Boys” and used the slogan: “We’ll Stash Your Trash in a Flash!” What began as a means to pay for college quickly turned into a unique business – a franchise of professional junk removal.

Brian changed the company name to 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, invested in more trucks, hired great people, and set a goal to build a brand that would become a household name. Since 1998, the company has grown to approximately 200 locations across three countries.

1-800-GOT-JUNK? makes the ordinary business of junk removal exceptional. We create space and peace of mind when junk gets in the way. Whether it’s an unwanted sofa, a pile of household junk in the garage, or a warehouse full of unused office furnishings,1-800-GOT-JUNK? removes it for you. In keeping with our environmental goals to divert items from the landfill, wherever possible, we will donate items to charity and recycle.

ABOUT Terradare Solutions:

Terradare was founded, by Nicole Darechuk in 2015, with a mission to provide creative automation solutions to companies that want to improve how they do business by combining technology and people-focused processes.

This has been a passion of Nicole’s for many years while honing her technology skills in both small and some large organizations. Juggling the day to day tasks while trying to integrate automation would often lead to ebbs and flows in finishing projects and making improvements. A common problem in most organizations (or so we hear!)

Solution? Start a company that provides consistent focus on automation and keep the services simple.

It was just one small change in mindset that resulted in the launch of Terradare Inc.

As an organization, Terradare is focused on supporting its’ clients with iterative automation solutions as a means of providing consistency and a simple approach to making changes that are the least disruptive.

Ask yourselves…why “throw out” what is working for you, when you can spend less time and money by making iterative changes to improve it?

Answer: You don’t have to.
